With just over a month before Lebanese citizens go to the polls in one of the most dramatic and significant elections in the country’s history, the lists of candidates competing in the 15 electoral districts have been finalized. The deadline for candidates to submit their registration was on March 15, after which parties, groups, and independents negotiated (or failed to negotiate) alliances, divvying up the list seats in the hopes of maximizing their chances of electing the most members of parliament.
